The fly fishing app for Ontario rivers

Muddy York Fishing tells you which Southern Ontario river to fish tomorrow, whether your stretch is open, and what to tie on. It's made for trout, steelhead and salmon anglers, from first-timers to lifers.

What it does

• A score for every river, every morning. From live air and modelled water temperature, flow and recent rain, so you know which river is fishing before you drive.
• Today's official season on your stretch. Checked against the Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary twice a day, stretch by stretch, including sanctuaries.
• The fly and technique for the day. Picked from water temperature and clarity: nymph, dry-dropper, streamer or eggs, and which patterns.
• Water level and flow. The nearest federal gauge for each river, so you can see a rise or a drop at a glance.
• Parking and walk-in routes. Public access for each section, mapped. Never private spots.
• Scout new water. Find rivers and creeks within your radius, with species and depth from Ontario's official surveys.
• Prime-condition alerts. A notification when one of your saved rivers turns prime, at most twice a week per river.
• Run tracker and trip log. See where salmon and steelhead are running from members' sightings, and log your days, blanks included.

Why not just check the weather?

Air temperature and rain tell you half the story. Trout and steelhead respond to water temperature, flow and clarity, and to what's legal on the stretch you're standing on. Checking a gauge, a forecast, the regulations summary and a fishing forum for every river takes an hour. The app does it for 30+ rivers before you wake up.
